Review
Reading a Lizzy Ford book is always a pleasant experience and the greatest thing about it is that right from the start you know what you are going to read: soulmates who have trouble accepting their predestined supernatural bond, that go through extreme lengths to try and deny their feelings, face dangerous situations and battle with evil forces only to end up together at the end of the book or series. It's a cliche and it shouldn't work, right? Wrong...
Life is so harsh sometimes and things don't always turn out the way you want them to. So when I feel like it doesn't make any sense anymore, a Lizzy Ford book can always make me want to go back and fight. For my dreams, for my happiness... the hope sweet love is just around the corner. Because once in a while, you need to escape reality and remember good things only come if you fight and fight and fight. Just like Lizzy's couples do.
In Hear No we get to read about humans, guardians, angels and demons and a fight against the evil of Shadowman, a fallen Guardian whose host is Kaylee, a kind woman who finds herself in the middle of chaos, confused about everything that is happening to her. And of course nobody will explain anything to her. Why would they, when the only chance to defeat Shadowman is if they kill her first? Or is it? Nathan is supposed to end her life to save the rest of humanity, but it's kind of hard to do that when he feels so attracted to her in an unexplainable way.
My favourite part about this book was the sweet romance that just begins to bloom between Amira and Troy, the first one a reincarnated first generation Angel, and the latter Nathan's mentor. I would've given this book a 5 vanilla flower rating if not for the underexplained supernatural world. I have to say though that I just love the covers and titles of the books in the series and I can't wait for the next installment to come out.
